We circulated the Multimedia Platform Presentation assignment sheet.

We discussed some publishing industry lingo that we will be using in class, including pitch, peg, slug, hed, dek, nutgraf, and kicker. More info TK!

We talked about pitches--what you need to do before the pitch, preparing to pitch, and formatting the pitch itself. We took some advice from pitching for the web from Jes Skolnik, and pitching for magazines from Kathryn Roethel.
